Most cards have an 800 number that you can call and inquire.

Check at the customer service desk of the shop in question. If it is a gift credit card, call the 800 number on the card.

Call the number on the back of the card. You'll get a machine and it will tell you the amount.

Depending on the g.c. you can usually check at any register that honors that card, or you can just as easily call the 1-800 number on the back of the g.c. Good luck! I hope it's a lot of money!!! Sara.

The receiver should note down on the card the amount so he/she will remember.

it would usually say on the card. if not go to the store where its used and ask the people.
