It could be a depersonalisation disorder. Or, it could be a nihilistic delusion - Cotard's syndrome. These are definitely not imagined problems, and psychiatric evaulation plus appropriate therapy may be of help. Just don't listen to people saying that your friend has gone nuts or whacko or anything like that - people have a knack for pouring salt on other's wounds.

I haven't any could pretend something concerning to non-believers. i used to be one for almost 30 years. the only element i will clarify is that sooner or later i did no longer have faith and then the subsequent, I did. i will in easy terms characteristic it to God's timing and a metamorphosis of thinking. of direction I pray that the non-believer's non secular eyes and ears might quickly come across the certainty approximately God. I pray that for my agnostic infants and my ex-spouse. Any data that I care to furnish for my very own concept is metaphysical. I of course are conscious of it would be a waste of time to objective and convince a non-believer that they could have faith based upon my very own subjective reasoning. Likewise the non-believer could understand that their loss of concept is undertaking to their very own standards and the actual data they in all probability look for is approximately as in all probability as seeing humpback whales gliding by the ambience 15,000 feet above sea point.

Maybe she's just starts wondering about this because she doesn't have her existence rooted in anything. Does she go to any church of any kind? Does she have anything bigger than herself to believe in? Take her to a library and suggest she read about different religions... or buy her a bible. I know it might sound silly but at least it'll give her another thing to think about than not really existing.

Sounds like a panic attack. She could have a panic attack disorder or an anxiety disorder of some sort. I believe the term is "dissociation". No, she's not crazy!

Tell her to pinch herself really hard. That should let her know that she really exists if anything will.
