it depends on the kind of fence, I once had a snozer that could climb the corner of our chain-length fence

Hey my mom has a yorkshire terrier we had made a fence im 1.53 and it comes up to about my waist, he tried to climb the fence, he litterally jump, and his fore paws kinda clinged to it, and just fell down again so no they cant climb fences that well, he is very adorable.

Any dog can climb a fence if he learns how to. Once they learn, they won't forget. My dog gets stuck up a tree every so often. He's a shorthaired pointer, and he was chasing a cat and ta-da, they were both up the tree. Now he is able to manage several trees...

it depends how high the fense is but no he will try to dig under it.that what terriers were originally ment for was digging snd going in tunnels.
