DDB i.e. Descriptive Demonstration Board.

The correct term is blackboard. This is because the original was black and the chalk used was typically white for greater contrast. Many times, the blackboard was green - and it was still referred to as a blackboard.

Depending on the region you are from, some call it a "chalk board." When a few poorly informed individuals heard it was referred to as a chalkboard rather than a blackboard, misunderstandings turned it into a racial slur.

In yet another perfectly harmless terminology or an educational device for all races, our verbiage is being forced to refer to it as a chalk board.

It's really sad.

Oh, for pete's sake! I am so tired of all this "politically correct" BS! If the slate it's black, it's a blackboard. If the slate is green, it's a chalkboard.

I do like "educational enhancement plane" alot for a laugh.

Moving on . . .
