i mean it tastes great and i really like it. not to be too disgusting but if you ever look at youre poo after eating it its all still there. so obviously it doesnt get digested and must have very little nutricional value. so why even eat it if it doesnt really provide any use.

because it tastes good and with lots of butter ,you are getting nutrients ,but as you say we cannot digest it

Actually, we do digest the corn. What you are seeing is the outer casing of the kernals. The inner part of the corn is what our bodies keep. It's true that we do occasionally pass a whole kernal, but only because they are so small that we don't always chew each individual kernal before swallowing and the casing keeps the interior from being digested.

If you have corn that didn't get digested you need to chew more. Also part of what you are seeing is the outer hull which doesn't break down quickly. The nutritional value is in the kernal.

It provides fiber which is important to the digestive process. If you've ever suffered from constipation, you will understand the importance of eating high fiber food.

Corn is one of the few foods that remain intact as they pass through the GI tract. We do get nutrients from it, however, so it's only the outside kernal that you see.
