It is normal for a baby to be constipated, but if you are that concerned, try prune juice in a bottle.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR CHILD PRUNES OR EVEN JUICE AT HIS YOUNG AGE!! Try buying a SOY formula. Sometimes regular formula can constipate. Water is also good. Someone mentioned olive oil rub for the abdomen , that is also good, just be very gentle! Also moving babys legs back and forth gently as if it were walking can help. Call a pharmacist and ask what else you can do.

Use a rectal thermometer with vaseline on the tip end, but be careful that you only insert just the tip of it into the anus. This causes the infant to have the urge to push, therefore providing some relief. Also if your formula has iron in it that will cause constitpation, so try formula without iron and see if that helps. (If you have ever watched the nurses take your babies temperature, that is how far you can insert thermometer.)

Usually all children have that at a very young age
give the child more fiber
and another technique which is rather discuting is by softing it manually using a cotton swap and vasiline basically soften the poo with a ctton swab inside the child ask a doctor fist though

Sterilise a baby bottle & fill with cooled boiled water. Should be body temperature when cooled. Seek medical help.
No prune juice for an infant this young!

Well when my son was a new born and had this problem the Dr's said a warm enema and also watered down apple juice if the baby will drink it or grape I'm not sure what they might say today as that was several yrs ago.
