I've seen the commercials and I hear it has good mileage. Can anyone who owns one confirm this? I'm thinking of purshasing one myself. Thanks.

Your question seems to be primarily based on gas mileage so I will focus on that. The engine in the 2007 Versa is the same 1.8 liter engine that is in the Nissan Sentra. The Nissan Sentra has been around since 1959. A very reliable engine, and very gas economical as well. The 30/36 mileage that is what the EPA has rated this vehicle at is of course based on many conditions. If you have ever read the window sticker of a vehicle, you will notice it mentions driving conditions, and also equipment too. Imagine also what the 6-speed manual transmission would mean to gas mileage efficiency. With the 6th gear, your overdrive will be at a lower RPM, thus effectively increasing gas mileage just through the transmission. I am a fan of the Versa and would recommend serious consideration. If you are in the Elk Grove,CA. area, please stop by Nissan of Elk Grove and ask to see Aaron Thomas.

I actually have a Nissan Versa because Feb 2007, in trouble-free terms positioned on 2,seven-hundred miles on it to date. I even have an motor vehicle transmission, yet no longer with the CVT. The engine is particularly agile and that's a actual exciting tochronic. The gas mileage I have been given is around 26 mpg with AC on. The cabin area is particularly huge, a chum at 6'6" suits in the back seat rather with the front seat pushed all the some time past. i'm happy with my Nissan to date till recently. i'm listening to some screeching noise from the engine on the passenger ingredient. i will take it to the broking later this afternoon and could keep you published regardless of if it rather is a intense concern. the only different whinge I even have is the AC isn't as chilly as i wanted. yet this might in all probability be because of the actuality that i'm in West Texas, mid of the summer time. As for different smaller motor vehicle which you're finding out, I regarded at Honda fit, Toyota Yaris, Chevy Aveo and Mazda 3. I liked Toyota Yaris, particularly the two-doorways hatch back, plus it is greater low-value than Versa too. the only reason i did no longer get it is via the fact a chum's dad strongly cautioned against it. chum's dad have been layout engineer at Ford for over twenty years and he have been given to aimchronic many distinctive automobiles (however i do no longer know how). He cautioned Nissan Versa over Yaris for smaller motor vehicle. it is merely my 2 cents that I have been given from somebody else.

In 1980 I bought a new Datsun (NISSAN) 210 with the standard 4 speed transmision and got 35 mpg, in 1993 I bought a new Dodge Shadow with the standard 5 speed transmission and got 35 mpg. I does not seem to me that any real improvements in gas mileage have been made. Suggest you save your money and get high gas mileage with an old car.

I am, too. No, I don't have one yet. I went on the website and you can order a brochure in the mail. That's what I did. They look good, but I hear it's best to wait a couple of years to let the bugs get worked out of the model. Wikipedia say the Versa is going to be the entry level of that brand in the US. So if we wait, there might be a mid-level model. I'm with you, though-they look great.

I love them!

The one I test drove was nicely equipped for only 14K .
The back seat has far more room than neon,
they handle nicely and get great gas mileage.

We sell them the minute they hit the lot.
