Ditch her and do this...do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Maybe she doesn't know you are trying to lose weight. You need to tell her that you really love her cooking, but you are trying to go on a diet. Maybe if you tell her that, and she still wants to cook for the two of you, suggest that maybe she could make some low fat or no fat meals and desserts for the two of you to enjoy. There are a lot of delicious low fat and no fat recipes on the internet if you know where to look. Also when you go out to eat, instead of ordering a hamburger and fries, try a salad. I think McDonald's has a section of their menu that is more health-oriented. A salad and a parfait and a diet drink will shed those pounds in no time. That's what I did when I tried to lose weight. I ate a lot of salads and noodles and exercised 2 or 3 times a week. Hope this helps. Good luck! : )

Your friend may be a little afraid that if you lose weight that you will get alot of attention and she will feel a little insecure. That happens alot. Just tell her that you are dieting and that although you love her cooking you are ready for a lifestyle change and you would really appreaciate her help and suppose. Tell her you need someone to hold you accountable. Like someone to walk with or go to to the gym with. That way you too can still spend quality time together and you both are staying healthy.
Go to websites Like prevention.com or even the biggestloser.com for healthy living tips (even if your not that big there are still great tips, receipes and more on the sites!)
Talk to your friend, tell her you are serious about losing weight be firm and stick to the goal. If she doesn't support you then find someone who will.

Ok , well it's hard to prove what someone else is doing subconsciously. Unless you're a mind-reader it's possible that you're only paranoid or imagining that she wants you to be fat. However, there is the possiblity that she's trying to sabotage you. Females are an odd bunch, even a so-called friend can subtly do things to hurt/manipulate you. Women can be very competitive. Maybe keeping you heavy makes her feel better about herself. My sister had a friend who tried to sabotage her everytime she tried to stop smoking. She'd make her feel bad & eventually make her start smoking again! Evil!
I think our friends want us to stay the way we are & may feel threatened if we try to improve ourselves. I've heard of people who lose a lot of weight being rejected by their friends who were so used to them being heavy.
The bottom line is though, a real friend will want what's best for you & not try to hurt you or make you unhealthy.
Be strong & try not to indulge in these fatty foods. Tell your friend that you're on a diet & not to tempt you. A real friend will listen...

Let your friend know that you would like to lose weight and ask her to help. She might not worry about calories right now, so it isn't a problem for her to eat so much. If she knows you're trying to lose, she may be an active partner in your weight loss program. She can provide encouragement and support, instead of yummy desserts.

Tell her that you are trying lose weight and become more healthly. Ask her to support you in this too. When she suggests going to a fast food restaurants, you could suggest a healthier place. Or if you are making the food yourself, offer up low-fat recipes.

I know I'm an all or nothing kind of person - if I take ANY, I'll want it ALL! So, I tell my friends no, thank you. They will understand. Maybe if you had a heart-to-heart with her that, although you love her cooking, you really would appreciate her help with your issue. Surely she would understand, and maybe you could do other things together instead of going out to eat: exercise, go walking, shopping, etc.

You ever wonder why she does that for? Ill tell ya, she keeps you on the chubby side, and she figures when you all go out, its less competition for her. Shes no friend. Tell her to piss off, and gain some willpower, she cant shove it down your throat! Once you tell her your on a diet and stick to it, and leave her some comments, like
" Hey soon ill be borrowing your clothes" I garanteeeeeeee shell be trying to shovel more food in your gullet. Just watch and see! Shes not your friend!

sounds to me that she is not your friend & she's trying to keep you fat so she can look better
if she is your friend tell her you really love her food but your trying to loose a pound or 2 and ask her could she make healthy meals more often. You 2 could buy groceries togethers
if she is your friend then she would want you to healthy if not you are in danger
