If you like your boyfriend then don't worry about others. Here's a true story that hurts me even now, and I'm 28. When I was 17 I had the best boyfriend, we'll call him the ugly guy, he was not popular, had no friends and was truthfully very ugly. I really like him but constantly my friends were at me. Ugly guy was the best, the most polite, extremely kind, and best in bed. I treated him dirty because my friends thought he was ugly and weird, then I got a new boyfriend, one that was handsome and cruel, and stayed with this one for off and on 8 years, then later tried to get back with ugly guy because I knew he was a great person. The ugly guy would have nothing to do with me except a one night stand, and I have thought about him everyday since. Never worry about what other people think, it's what you think, unless he's mean to you or treating you badly. Be yourself and you'll be happy.

Why you so concerned with what other people think? They are not the ones directly involved and it is highly likely that they do not know him as well as you do.
People laugh at people that they don't understand and they believe that they are somehow superior to that person - it takes a small-minded person to do that. Don't get swallowed up by that shallowness. If you enjoy Ahmad's company, then just enjoy the fact that you have a good friend.

The person you choose to date should be up to you. No one but the 2 people involved know what really goes on in a relationship. If he makes you laugh, that's a good thing. Look at the way he treats you and the way he communicates and watch his actions...that will tell you alot about him. If your friends are good friends they will support your decision and work to get to know him better. If they have a reason not to trust him ask them why and take it from there.

i agree that the bottom line is what you think about this guy. however sometimes we are to close to the forest to see the trees. it is important to know in what way your friends feel he is weird. if they think he is just silly or dresses funny.. and you do not mind.. then.. it is not important. however if they think he is weird in a sexual way... or criminal type way.. you might want to pay more attention to what he says or does... or where he goes. and who he hangs with. keep an open mind

You know, I'm having the same problem, but I figured that if I'm happy in this relationship and the boy is kind and loving, then SCRREW ANYONE WHO WANTS TO TELL ME WHO I CAN AND CANNOT DATE!.

i think you should do whatever makes you feel best. If he makes you laugh and if he makes you happy, then what more do you want. i think you should stay with him, because he sounds like good guy. i hope i answered your question with good advice.

if you really like him, then why think of what other people say..but then again you might be thinking that if people thinks your boyfriend's weird then they might think you're weird too. but if you really like him and just don't care what other people say then what do you care about??
