Dude, I'm in almost the same boat as you. I think the new "date things" are hickeys and beers. Ewwwww....

No, everyone woman still want a gentleman. Flowers are always still suggested. But get someone fake flowers. Tell her that these fake flowers resemble how you see her beauty that will never die. Peck on the cheek is still good to do, because it show that you aren't so pushy with the big kiss on the lips. Be safe than sorry. There might be that chance that the girl doesn't want a kiss and you won't know that so kiss her on the cheek. She should mind you kiss her there. Hell, the French do it when saying hello.... or is that the Italians? So, being a gentleman will never be gone.

Hey John
A nice guys that brings a girl some flowers is just a nice guy if the girl isn't interested. If she is interested the flowers were a waste because after all the girl will be into you NOT because you brought her flowers but on other attributes (physical attraction and personality). Basically they are a waste if the girl isn't interested, and they are not necessary if she is.
A little kiss on the cheek is probably ok on the first date, but go in for an actual one if there is a second date because "little pecks on the cheek" will make you a friend, not a boyfriend.
Sorry, forgot something. Yes...all girls and women will like you to bring them flowers, like you to open doors, like you to do all those "gentlemenly things", BUT...liking those things doesn't equate to like YOU. The two are seperate. Not saying that you shouldn't do them, but don't expect a girl to like you just because she seems pleased that you do those things.

You have to find the right man. I love to get flowers and a peck on the cheek on a date maybe next time it can be more than a peck. Behave like a lady to be treated like one and maybe you will find a true gentleman. It would be a sad world if we were not treated well.

Yellow rose yes (don't get a red one, it stands for love) but not the peck on the cheek. No physical contact on the first date. And yes the old days have vanished although it'd be nice to bring back some of it to show the young ones what respect is all about

If you haven't notice the world is so fast that things like that have died. Until I seen a man open a door for his wife yesterday. I came home & asked my hubby what's up with him. I think there are some girls that love that kind of stuff. It makes them feel you respect them. Can't speak for all women but I think that shows you are a gentleman with some morals. I think if you are that way you will get a good woman in the long run.

Depends how you do it. If you are the sort that can pull off something like flowers and holding doors open without seeming like a clown, then go for it. But at the same time, women these days love the idea of equality. They don't like some little fool following their every step and doing their every bidding.
