What do you do when you feel as if you are making the wrong decision on something? It doesn't have to be a specific thing, just an overall feeling that you're going down the wrong path. Do you meditate? Punch walls? Talk to your best friend? Cry? I just feel as if i'm making a bad decision right now in my life (i'm being vague for a reason, I just want some general tips), and I want to know what some people do to think through decisions or life patterns or whatever. So just whatever hints you could give would be useful.

I feel guilty if I make wrong decision and I face bad consequences. I think about it, try to go grow from it, blog it, and just forget it unless if it somehow slips into my mind. I dont meditate-- cant, my thoughts consume me too much. I dont like violence. I don't have much of a best friend but my blog can take that place. I'm not much of a crier.
I've finally figured myself out-- I think. I'll end up surprising myself later on. I hit high, go low, and hit high again. Not actually hit but emotional highs and lows.
Try to look at your past decisions and try to grow from that. Just reflect on your decisions. It really helps.

The best thing to do is to ask someone (like a friend, family member) who is or was in your position. Tell that person(s) (to the point you feel comfortable) about the choice you made and get some advice.

Otherwise, you will probably think about and regret your decision for some time.

Call a "time-out" and:
1) Write down your options and the good and bad things about each.
2) Establish some goals for yourself.
3) Talk to a friend, a mentor, a counsellor, or a teacher, etc.

I pray and ask for guidance. It has never failed! Sometimes the answer is immediate (that still small voice within). I can usually figure out that it isn't just my own projection or wishful thinking because there is always a characteristic tone to it that is undeniably NOT mine. Sometimes there is a humorous twist that I couldn't possibly dream up. It can come as an AHA! from a song , a dream or a train of events. If you ask and then LISTEN your answer will surely arrive with incredible timing! God bless, Cindy

Some things that I do when faced with this all-too-familiar scenario: asking people for advice, writing down pros and cons, praying. But the best thing I've done? Trusting myself to make the right decision. Good luck!
