A standard car seat, whatever the make is always a compromise. The ideal seat for you would be one sculpted to your body shape, height, weight, etc. Certain makes i.e. Mercedes S-class offer a special back-support seat for your situation as an option. This has infinite adjustability in all regions with different cushions pushing in/out along it's entire stretch.
You should contact Volkswagen customer service and explain your situation and findings with the car. They have a legal obligation to help you, otherwise they may get sued for aggravated discomfort and pain, possibly worsening of present condition, etc, etc.
Failing all above, you can purchase a special seat and here there is really only one name to count on - ISRINGHAUSEN. There is just no other to match. Their expertise ranges from full suspension seats for off-highway equipment with no suspension right down to child seats. VW may well be able to supply and fit one at a much reduced price. Hope this helps and good luck. I know exactly what you are going through from own experience.

A lot of French cars are comfy. I tried out an old Laguna the other week, and it was more like sitting on a sofa than sitting in a car. Nice, if you don't mind driving a Frenchie.

Try a Fiat Multipla. There is sooo much room in them. The seats are very comfortable especially the drivers seat which is fully adjustable in every direction.
Also, I happen to have one for sale. Contact me if you are interested.

Most of the new large Volvos have brilliant seats. They also have the advantage of protecting your back, neck and head very effectively in a bump or crash.
