Go to a store that sells to hair dressers. They sell to the public as well, you'll just pay a bit more. They have the professional strength products you'll need. Sally's Beauty Supplies and Davidson's are two around here.
Or You can also go to a salon once and have them tell you what ratio they're using of the dye to the other parts. Then you can buy what you need at the professional stores and do it yourself.

Pay the salon. For a few reasons, 1-they will get it right 2-they can help you pick the right color and technique if you insist on doing it yourself 3-they will treat your hair better than an at home kit.

It all depends on how much poroxide the contain, it sounds like you just used 3% solution you need higher loke 6 or 9. or try a home bleaching kit and then put something with just colour tone in and no further poroxide

when dying your hair you should get it done by a professional! most home dyes don't have the same effects that you would want to have! most home hair products don't give you the same look or a salon look! I would say look for a good professional!

I would just go to a salon because all of my friends that did there hair done at home wall mine looked so much better than theirs. but 1 last thing don't die your hair you should get it highlighted because when your roots start to grow back in it doesn't look so dorky were as if you die your hair you will start to look dorky once your roots start to grow in
P.S. buy shampoo and conditioner for colored hair

there are products out there known as a "hi-lift" which means it is formulated to make brown hair blonde. Pretty sure L'oreal makes one. It has yellow stuff on the box.

DON'T EXPERIMENT WITH UR HAIR ALONE, ESPECIALLY WITH TURNING IT BLONDE. U CAN NEVER HAVE NICE RESULTS AT HOME. EVEN PROFECIONAL HAIR-STYLIST DON'T DO THEIR OWN HAIR IF IT HAS TO BE BLEACHED. GO TO A NICE SALON, WHERE THEY WILL DO THE COLOR U WANT AND THEN IF U WANT, MAINTAIN IT URSELF, BY COLORING UR ROOTS WHEN IT IS TIME

It's not that you have to, but you need to pay to get it done correctly. If you mess it up and then decide to go in, you are looking at what is called hair color correction and that costs even more. So leave it to us professionals to do it. Do find one you like though,by making consultation appts. and ask if they charge.
