Ok, I was just wondering, I've got these tickets for a comedy show in a few weeks. I was wondering, if I met a girl that I liked would taking her to this comedy show be a good date (I bought a spare ticket), or would u girls find it boring? Probably makes no sense but I'm just wondering if doing something different is good or the classics (movies, restuarants, etc) are a better route..

re: gypsyeyes. I think movies is a good date, just later in a relationship, 3rd or 4th date. The first ones should be different, enjoyable and maybe have the possibility of interaction. My preferences r coffee, special events, ice skating, bowling, the classics, and on a very special occassion, rock climbing. But movies wouldn't be far behind those kind of things.

Finally a guy who has some clue on what a good date would be. Movies is the worst first date!! Hope you find someone to take with you and that she appreciates it. Good luck

I think that a comedy show is kind of similar to a classic in a sense! I also think that it's a nice change but not too different. I guess it depends on the girl. Good chance that she may not have ever gone yet. I'm a girl and I would go why not?

Take me - I love comedy clubs. It would be a different first date and shows a bit of imagination from the usual stuff. If it doesn,t work out you can always talk about it in the pub/ restautrant afterwards (leave during the break if it really is dire). You get someone laughing then you are halfway there to making it work. Enjoy the show!

It's good to do something different - It shows that you do what you want and don't follow a crowd.

Most girls I know like guys who are individual and don't do the same as everybody else. Especially on a first date - the date when you get the first impressions.

First date there = have your own mind, unique etc

I think you should take a girl out on a comedy show date. That is different & could be lots of fun.

It wouldn't be boring and yes it would be a great outing for a first date. Better than the usual movie and dinner. GO FOR IT !

I think it's a great idea. Humour is a great ice-breaker and will provide good post-show conversation, whether the show was good or not! Have fun!

depends on the commedy i guess. like, i woudl never take someone i was dating, or enjoy going with them to a vulgar sexual commedy hour, which so many lean towards when they get popular. but just good ol fasion laughs, id love it. not too much pressure, adn youll not need to find yourself at an awkward position if you find that you have nothign to talk about.
