Why is it people need to worship someone or something to just be?

Well I would imagine the number of people who worship some form of God, out weight the people that worship the devil.

So far, in my research into many religions and hundreds of interviews with people of varying religions in work for my master's degree, I have never heard of or spoken to a single person who worships the devil.

I can honestly say I have never met anyone who worships the devil... I have met many self righteous God squadders who have labeled people they are too lazy to try to understand as devilworshipers

there are some who do worship the Devil as in the Church of Satan. however never ran across any personally. although there are also some Christians who believe any Catholics or other Protestant denominations along with other non-Christian Religious Belief Systems are worshiping Satan.

Some people have lost faith in God and turned to the other side. For some it seemed like the cool thing to do. Still others just like to try to shake up society with outrageous behaviors. Faith is faith and they should be respected for their faith even if you do not agree with it.

in my humble opinion i think its because theyre weak little basterds who cry when things dont go theyre way and constantly operating on self destruct mode, they have no honer, they are liers, and have no remorse for theyre actions,,,
