Vegetable oil works or Vaseline, it disintegrates the oil base that the glue is made of. It take some time and patience but just slowly work the glue trap off. Your dog may loose a little skin so make sure you have something to clean it. It that isn't working please see a vet.

take the dogs nose in one hand and the gluetrap in another
and very slowly but with strength pull the glue off
imagine its a pesky pricetag or a sticker on a cd
remember slow but with strength
also steam might help if it's not too close to his nose

Try using vegetable oil. I have heard this works getting all kinds of undesirable creatures of rat glue traps. Careful your dog doesn't breathe it in but use lots of it. I hope there are no rats there as well!

Peel it off carefully and use mineral oil to get the glue off. Bummer man I feel for you!
