how can I let a man know I like him lots without being obvious?

I have a business friend who does flirt with me using words and compliments me greatly yet unless he is married already doesn't put it into action. He knows I am single and not in a relationship so without risking the business relationship we have how can I let him know I am interested?

I know this man only from doing some business but the way he talks to me, in a friendly flirty way seems to me to indicate he likes as more than a friend. There has never been talk of him being married nor does he wear a ring. We lost touch for a while and his latest email told me to keep in touch and to contact him any time I liked. We enjoy chatting on the phone and he calls me honey, other men friends have never done that. Am I reading too much into his words and actions. He knows I am single, so what is he waiting for. I don't want to jump in with both feet and spoil a good working realtionship, but I do like him.
