Okay, Im 37 weeks pregnant and Im due any day now so my doctor has told me. Ive dilated about 2 1/2 centimeters and Ive been this way for about four days. I was wondering if anybody knows any safe ways to help get my labor going. Like to help me get dilated more so I can start having strong contractions.Thanks for the help and hope to hear from someone soon!

Brisk walks, exercise and have a great big orgasm. That usually works. Make sure daddy doesn't leave any dents on baby's head though. LOL! Good luck and congratulations. You really should try not to for at least one more week. 38 weeks is much better than 37. Know what I mean?

When I was thirty seven weeks, I was dilated that much too. I tried everything, long walks, orgasm, playing with my nipples (it's supposed to induce labor) and pretty much every trick in the book. I delivered a day after my due date. While you could try those things...that baby is going to come when s/he wants to. Even though it seems three weeks wouldn't make a difference it would. You can try the thing I mentioned but really I think if you just wait and not put in all the effort you'll be just fine.

No, just allow nature to work it 's course. If you remain dilated to long the doctor will induce your labor, and that is a very painful experience, once the contractions begin you don't get a second in between. Much stronger than natural labor. Allow, the baby to come when it is ready. Good luck

I've heard if you drink castrol oil it will induce labor. Some people have tried it and it didn't work, but I had a friend who drank castrol oil and 7 hours later she had her baby, and she wasn't dilated at all! Also sex induces labor. And they say running, but I don't like the idea of all that bouncing and maybe tripping (you know how clumsy we are now) so just walking. Good luck. Please let me know if anything works. Ok I just had my baby on Friday, here's what i did I went for a quick walk, tried to walk as fast as i could for about 10 min not long. Came back home and ate something kinda spicy we had Mexican. Then i did the pressure point method. Try pushing really hard on the inside of your ankle bone about 4 fingers up the same on the outside of the other foot. Do this for about 10 seconds repeat every ten minutes, it really worked for me.

As a mothert myself I heard of many differant ways to bring on labor from sex (which guys does not work) to jumping down stairs. Tried them all with no luck. Let nature takes its course and enjoy the extra sleep youll need it for when that baby gets here.

I heard this from a friend of mine who had a baby a few years ago. She said that sex will bring on labor. I don't know if it's the actual act, or maybe an orgasm. I'd check with your doctor before taking anyone's advice here though.

Having great sex will do it. It worked for me with my second boy. I was about a week late in having him anyway. It really did work for me. My first baby, I had to get labor induced by the doctor. They cut a hole in the water sac and that's how the doctor's induce labor, not by putting in "fake" seman. They don't do that.

Well, either swallow a small turtle to chase the baby out or re-arrange the furniture in your house. Better yet have some good sex!

The doctors induce labor by putting fake semen into the cervix... maybe you should do the same with "real" stuff....
