they dont like to think and act for the betterment of all but for theirselves only , they make their lives easier and luxurious and doesnt bother for the one who made them and gave them their lives . They gotta find out the reason of being alive and when they will be dead where would they go. There is always a reason or purpose of any creation whether its a car or a refrigerator , then how can be life created without any reason and that reason could not be just pleasure and goodwill for one's own self.

Please try to find the reason and you will get to the right point...

the terminology you use explains it "free thinker" we don't want to believe silly thousand year old stories written by superstituos men.

the biological purpose of life is to replicate DNA (ie reproduce). the cultural purpose is whatever you choose it to be.

Not sure of the exact question....but the prupose in life is to procreate. Nature and instnct tells us to procreate and carry on the species.
Comprehend life? That is just electrical impulses in you brain that tell you to keep alive......

What a prejudiced statement to say that people who believe in God are not free thinkers. It takes a lot more thinking to understand God than to just say "There is no God"
