My absolute fav is Proverbs 3:5. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding
It has helped me through many a tough time.
Becuase it is reminding me to trust God regardless. Even if I don't understand what or why, the point being that God DOES understand and He's the one in charge. Not me.
We have lots of health problems in our lives. My husband has had 6 back operations, 4 heart attacks, a triple bypass (open heart surgery) anemia, diabetes, 4 uclers, and is currently dealing with chronic fatigue. (Drs still don't know why)
And I know that we are not the only ones with health problems but this has helped more than you can know.
Anohter one I really really like a lot is Isaiah 55:8 and 9. It is a lot along the same lines but
Isa 55:8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
These are really nice too: And I love to point them out to people who think you have to EARN your way to heaven.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Salvaion is the GIFT of God. God isn't an indian giver. This we know. Once He gives you a gift, HE doesn't take it back.
some put it away, the way you put something in a drawer and years later you find it and say "oh I forgot I even had that"
So is salvation still yours.
