I have a Panasonic FZ7 camera. I was just wondering if there was any way to connect the camera to the computer and click pictures which instead of getting stored on to the camera's SD card get directly stored onto the computer's hard disk bypassing the SD card.

Not that I know of. All the cameras need to save to their standard memory card.

What you're looking is actually a web cam. These will allow you to do what you want.

I've never seen a good hybrid camera/webcam... Maybe there would be a market for this!

The functionality you are looking for is available on high end pro and semi-pro DSLR's. The camera sends the images directly to your PC through a WiFi set up.

Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google

Download it free in here:

Any camera that supports firewire will probably do this for you.
