Jain philosophy as such does not recognize any Supreme Omnipotent creator God.

Jains predate Christianity by about 1,000 years. Jains were the first people to state as fact that matter & energy are the same thing. A fact that did not become widely known until the 20th Century and Einstein published his "Theory of Relativity."
Jains promote "virtue" far more than nearly any other religion.

In case it was not obvious, Jains would be considered "atheists" by most bible believers.

Jainism is considered a religion.
Christianity is based on most of the same principles taught by Jainism.

Pink, the Wiki information about Jainism goes on for about four screens, far more than I intend to try to cut & paste to email you.
If you can't click on Wikipedia, then type "Jains" into your search engine and visit one of their "official" websites, or any website that pleases you.

Don, you are incorrect.
Atheists, like Jains, do not believe in a "Supreme Being." Atheism does not relate to "spirit" or anything else. Atheists can mostly certainly be "spiritualists."

Pink,
This question is in direct response to several questions from "Christians," i.e., "Bible believers," as to why atheists or non-believers (in their God) are in this section.
You are in the "Religion & Spirituality Section," or "Religion section" for short.

If I want advice about my eyebrows, I'll visit the "beauty section."

God believers have a vested interest in keeping non-believers away. Non-believers ask hard questions and answer theirs too easily.

While Jainism does not have a belief in an Omnipotent Divine Creator, believing that the Universe has always existed and will always exist, they do however believe in the "soul" or "spirit" and its journey through existance. They do believe that the "soul" can reach "Enlightenment" and become a God or like a God. This completely separates the Jains from Atheists, Agnostics and Non-Believers.
Our friend is correct, the Jains deserve the same respect as the faithful of any other religion. They are the allies of all true decent believers in "purpose" to the Universe as opposed to the Evil of the Militant Atheist Materialists who believe that "pupose" does not exist.

Your links I found very interesting. I am avoiding the issue you brought up in the main question because I do not subscribe to the idea that this forum is just for "believers".
If you feel insulted, I'm sure you are already used to it.
Now as to your religious convictions, I find them very heady. I am sure we agree on many points, but we would soon focus on the differences between us. Mainly, "Infinite Knowledge, Perception, Consciousness, and Happiness" as attainable to a mortal. Sin is defined in my religion as missing the mark of perfection. Also, divine revelation reveals that none can attain perfection without a merciful God to provide a way. That way was provided about two thousand years ago by an anointed one. If we follow him and trust in his teaching, he provides perfection in us. God gave a sign in his virgin birth and resurrection from the dead, so we know he is the One.
I only can point out our differences, I don't think we can change either of our convictions.
I pray that God will extend His grace to touch your heart and mind that you may know him.

I am fully aware that Jainism is a religion in the same frame as Buddhaism and Taoism (this does not mean I confuse them). My readings on Gandhi demostrated to me the powerful effect Jainism had (at least according to Erik Ericson) in developing the personal philosophy he had developed and his methods for pushing for Indian independence. As a Jew I always get bent out of place when I realize others or misrepresenting or disregarding my own religion. I can relate to your feelings of disrespect that you get that our unwarrented towards your own.

Your answers do nothing but prove how little that you know about the Christian religion. In your answer to my question, you make referrence to Heaven being filled with sinners. Do you think that Hell isn't? So what if a rapist or murder goes to Heaven! If they go to Heaven, obviously they asked forgiveness for their sins and asked Jesus to come into their heart and save them. In that case, God took their sins and through them as far as the east is from the west. That means they are gone, forgiven, forgotten. Of course Heaven is filled with sinners, considering that Jesus is the only person to ever live on earth that wasn't a sinner, what did you think it was full of? Purple bunnies?
You really don't know much about our religion do you?

what are Jains?
Whether you recognize it or not - there is 1 Supreme Omnipotent God
Read the Bible - it's there. Not on some website put up by people who don't believe to begin with

Your very right and spirituality doesn't always mean the belief in a creator god. I personally apologize for being closed minded. But people assume that what they know and believe is the only way for it to be.

Cause they feel the need to convert everyone when they fail to do it they tend to think their religion is the only one and they are the only ones that should be allowed in this section.
To reply to "Minister" comment that its only for religious people. Then learn to keep your religion to your own self and people who share it. Therefor keep it our of schools and such! That would be like me saying if it don't have the tile "religion and spiritual" then you are not allowed to be in those sections.

You answered your own questin, dummy. Jain is a PHILOSOPHY, not a THEOLOGY. Post your questions under phiolsophy or mythology. And do something about your eyebrows.
