A recent article in Reuters said:
At a "Values Voters Summit" sponsored by leading religious conservative groups, some activists said President George W. Bush and Republican leaders showed too much pragmatism and too little concern for issues like abortion, immigration and banning gay marriage.
"There is no question people are frustrated with the Republican Party. The message it sends is: 'We don't care where you stand, we just want you to be a Republican,"' said Phil Burress, president of the Ohio-based Citizens for Community Values.
Who will you support? The other side? I think not. It may just be time for you to accept that no matter how hard you try, how much money you raise for the purpose, and how many politicians tell you they will fight for your cause, you cannot change the fact that America is a democratic republic, not a theocricy. The GOP used to be about small government, low taxes, and states/individual rights. Not gay marriage, abortion, immigration.

No... this is about religous people engaging in political blackmail when their "favorites" can't get as much done as they want. The point is in the actual question... why not just admit America can't be turned into "Afganistan Lite" just because the "bible says?"
If you don't like the question or don't want to answer it, no problem... but don't just be critical and pretend you don't understand the question.
