How long is a piece of string?? A lot depends on the quality of workmanship and materials used, but probably at least £2000.00 from your description.

It would be haphazard at best to give you an answer to this question without knowing a lot more information about the house. There are numerous variables which will affect the price including local electrical codes, the number of outlets required, the locations of those outlets, the number of switches and the locations of those, the voltage requirements such as 120v and 240v and of course how to gain access to the interior of the walls to do the wiring. Example has the drywall been removed, are the walls plaster, etc.

Your best bet would be a reputable licensed electrical contractor. A quality one will give you a free estimate, which will bind him to be within a certain percentage of that estimate according to your local contractor laws. Hope that helps.

When I did it, it cost a couple thousand. Also installed exterior outlets, washer & dryer hookup, and a 220 for the stove - also new fuse box.

You don't have to be qualified.
The electrician has to be competent.

2-3 thousand depending on your requirements.
downlighters, MK fittings, chrome and brass fittings. No. of points/outlets, will all affect your quote. IF empty, or occupied.

Good luck.

it all depends on what company you use to do the work. The cheapest is not always the best so I would advise you to Get a few estimates and references before letting them do the work.

Irrespective of price, you legally need to be qualified to do that job these days. It is not, now, legally possible to do that work on a 'handyman' basis any more.
