Depression can have all sorts of effects, and probably this is one that you are experiencing. Have you seen your Dr? You can be prescribed anti-depressants, which are not addictive, and which can help you to sleep. Or you could try a search on 'depression', as there are some sites which can be helpful. A book that you may find useful is "Overcomind Depression".

I guess or according to my experience, yes of course it is normal to have a bad dreams very often when you are depressed. This is because you were just worried about it and that u'r brain is still processing about sth.done before you go to sleep.

When you dream, your mind is processing the day's thoughts. If you have been thinking unhappy or scary things then your dreams will naturally reflect those thoughts. Your thoughts will be jumbled up into nonsense therefore making them scarier because your dreams are the unknown. It is like saying that people aren't afraid of the dark, they are afraid of the unknown in the dark. But you become less scared in light because you know what you are facing.

I would that it's normal because dreams are thought by some to be a way of sorting things out.

Dreams are in some way a re-hash of the day's events. If you had a bad day, then you will taint your dreams and have bad dreams.
