I mean I have a stupid question for you not that your question or issue is stupid. Sorry I did not mean to sound insulting to you. You have a real issue and need real help. Have you tried some excersices like a brisk walk or jumping jacks or sit ups or push ups? Sometimes that helps me.

Other times when I am so tired but can't sleep I take a warm shower or a warm bath.

Maybe you need a therapist to help you work out the nightmares so you can rest?

Since you have taken other medications I would not take anymore today. You could have a bad reaction.

Hopefully you can get some good rest/sleep soon

I have the same problem but without the nightmares and I tried melatonin and it worked better than ambien and lunesta. You can buy it over the counter in the US and is by the vitamins since it is naturally produced by our bodies it seems to work better (at least for me it does) good luck

Melatonin from Wal-Mart. Works wonders. I have it shipped via relatives to the UK cos we don't have a licence for it here.
