since we are placed here on earth we are to love and care for her as we would any other living organism. Mother Earth provides for us in all ways and when we hurt her we destroy some of ourselves. we are caretakers and need to remember we need to take care of her so she will take care of our children and our future generations.

Sister, God never did said one time not to love the earth, In fact he told us to subtue the earth & to tilled the earth, & to keep the earth. Don't believe everything you hear here on yahoo or any place else, God's word will aways lead us back to God. God did say not to love worldly things, & that don't mean that we can not have worldly things, that means that we are not to put these things ahead of God.

The earth is our home away from home (heaven) and God does want us to love it and care for it. The first instruction God gave Adam was to tend the Garden. God then told Adam to name all the animals. God expects us to be good stewards of his world. What God does not want is for us to become WORLDLY, that is substitute the things of the world for him. God wants us to focus on him. By doing so we rely on God to be our provider. God expects us to worship him and not the things of the world. God hates idolatry because idolatry is the pride of the devil. Jesus loves us and wants us in God's kingdom, but in order for us to get there we must focus on Christ.

Who told you that? Just read Genesis and you'll find that God gave stewardship to mankind. One can be a good steward only if one has a caring heart, that is, love.

God does not want us to hate the earth, or nature, he created it and it testifies of him.

He wants us to hate or have enmity with worldliness; dress, music, way of living etc. He wants us to be godly people

We are not supposed to love things, we are supposed to love people and the first one we are to love is Jesus. We need to love in this order: Jesus, Others, You. The first letter of each word spells "JOY."
