Some of the answers you got have been really ignorant, they say religion has no place in politics this world revolves on politics, and the goverment, and that is exactly where the christians need to be, by keeping christians out of them you have people runing the world that ,allow babies to be murdered, you have them teaching there is NO GOD, you have same sex marriage, that teaches chrildren that this is the way of life, and that nothing is wrong with doing these things, many many many many years there was prayer in the schools, now they are not, now look at the trouble in the school, kids taking guns killing other kids, Look at the drugs in the world that our kids are taking, because no one in the family acts grown up enough to be in control of those kids taking them, when spanking kids was still apart of raising children, and prayer was a part of most peoples life every day, things were calmer, and safer in the world, but today there isn`t a safe place, even in your home, your not safe, because you never know when that child that fears no one iand believes there is no God gets upset at you or his friends, he believes if he wants to its ok to grab a gun and shoot who ever is in is way.Kids are angry, there mad because they don`t feel any security in their life, it was all taken away from them, even their moms or dads have taken off and left them, to live a free life doing what ever with who ever, and its all just fine, because hey NO FEAR when you don`t believe there is a GOD who will punish the wrong you do.

Ah, well you see, "bottles," Meatloaf is Meatloaf and God is God! Actually, as a person with strong beliefs, I DO get told that more than once in a while even in the area of food. When I see someone write pure false "crap" like "you should use brown sugar instead of white sugar because its better for you!" I have to write back and say "NO! its NOT! Brown sugar is made from refined white sugar and molasses and will kill you just as quickly."
Or when I read that "eating meat will kill you!" I just have to write and say, "that is a complete LIE based on "junk science" actually meat eaters live 3-5 years longer on average than vegetarians!"
I get a LOT of negative reactions, even though, scientifically I am correct. The point is that people all have their own personal beliefs and they don't like to have them questioned, (even though that is a very healthy thing, actually, having one's beliefs questioned.)
When you get into the wonderful world of religion and fundamental religious beliefs you will find that people will react faster and more vociferously than on any other topic.
If you add that to the fact that the two century long campaign of the militant atheist materialists to destroy all forms of religious thought, has left us with a social order that is almost rabidly anti-religious and I think you can see the problem.
Under the social fascism of what is jokingly referred to as "political correctness" it is becoming increasingly "incorrect" to suggest to anyone that they modify their behavior in ANY way especially in a spiritual way!
My suggestion: don't let it get to you, just go on being yourself!

You better eat my meat loaf or I'm gonna kill you!!!
Oh, sorry, wrong category.
But seriously folks, I just flew in from Tehran and are my arms tired!
Yes, there is always hope. Hope that all humans might have free speech, human rights, and peace.
But that's just my opinion and you don't have to agree. But you cannot silence me just because you think what I say is stupid.
Why is it that agnostics and atheists come to the religion category then want to shut everybody up? I suppose if the atheists every took over they would shove their irreligion down our throats with the barrel of a gun and forbid all discussion of that topic.
Oh, wait a minute, that already happened. Your name wouldn't be Joe or Mao would it?

yeah...I've noticed that! Seems that religion is such an "in your face" topic! Not much room for tolerance of others beliefs...everyone is right! Where's the "live and let live" philosophy?
I personally don't believe in so called "religions"...I believe in "Spirituality"...a direct connection to my creator and to Christ..
( theres goofy answers in every category....you should see some of the answers I got, just asking for recipes for making good Cappucino!!)

When I am ask a question, I only answer it according to the bible,, Yes sometimes it is long, But that answer is to the one that ask the question, & not you, You don't have to read it, & go back to your food section, but if you don't put all the ingredients into your food, it will taste awlful, I never try to push my ideals down someone throat, But if there is a question, & if I have the answer, I will respond, If I don't have the answer, I will keep my mouth shut.

When someone states meatloaf is their favorite food that is not pushing that in someones face. However someone telling people that they need to believe in your god and get saved, and if they don't they are going to hell and blah blah blah that is pushing it in peoples face. When they come to our doors that is pushing it in our face. I have never had anyone come knock on my door to tell me they love meatloaf. Nor have I ever had anyone tell me that I have to love meatloaf neither. Nor does people randomly try to push me into eating meatloaf. If I wanted you to tell me your beliefs I would post a question asking just that. Since I didn't post a question asking for that means I don't care to hear them.

Actually, my friend, there are meat eaters who come on the vegetarian forum and rant and rage at us for refusing to eat meat. They claim we are all trying to ram our way of life down their throats. There are unbalanced defensive people everywhere. Even in churches.

I have never had anyone come to my door and tell me or imply that if I did not eat Pepperoni Pizza that I would go to hell.
Nor, have I ever seen anyone claim that those who refuse to put anchovies on their pizzas are evil, wicked and spawns of Satan.
However, I have seen and heard many, many comments that non-believers are not only Satan worshipers, child molesters, rapists, thieves, liars and every imaginable anti-social character than can be imagined, but they are also traitors and not worthy of US citizenship (VP George Bush, 1987 speech)
Maybe Christians should stop attacking others and they won't be attacked. The street runs both ways..

Christians have engendered a lot of hostility in the US by inserting themselves into the political arena.
We have a president who says god talked to him about going to war with Iraq, we have the anit-gay legislation being pushed everywhere based upon christian beliefs, overriding our constitution, and christians persist in trying to teach creationism in public schools as though it were science.
Quite honestly, a good portion of the population is getting sick to death of christians. I'm one of them.
