right if you are born in england i believe you are meant to speak correct english, and a thing that really frustrates me, is youths who talk with a pathetic accent, they think they are really hard and they sound absolutely awful.what is all that about.jeesh lol

Oh, every generation has it's own peculiar way of talking. Trying to stop them would be like trying to stop the moon's phases.

Language is not a sedentary thing carved in stone. It's organic. You and I do not speak in Ye Olde English, do we?

It's a whole subculture thing. They set themselves apart and try to find a separate reality where they stand a better chance of finding status. In their eyes their talk separates them from the rubes and squares. Really we all do that, don't we? For some it is a career. For others it is sports.

Young people are insecure & still trying to find their place to fit in. They mistakenly think sounding like thugs is the way to go. Hopefully in time, most of them will realize that they must be true to themselves & not make up a fake persona.

Its called "Not completely grown up yet" I would just ignore people like this, they are only doing it to look kewl. By ignoring them they will realise they don't have an audience so with luck it should stop. Why you continue to make a big issue out of it, they will continue to do it.

In the states kids are trying to be "tuff" speaking "ebonics" even if they live in Montana. Get a life kids, and be true to yourself.
