Quite frankly, I'd be interested to know where you draw your conclusions from. The first Thanksgiving was in 1621, the Trail of Tears was 200 years later !!
Quit feeling persecuted and get over it. If this truly is an issue for you, perhaps on this Thanksgiving you can practice the art of forgiveness.

Is it not possible to celebrate Thanksgiving in a way that acknowledges how thankful we are for who we are now? Thankful for good health, prosperity, good family? Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful and remember those who may not be as fortunate and maybe, maybe, people will think of others that need help and extend a helping hand.

You've been misled, Thanksgiving was started in Europe a long time before America was discovered. The U.S adopted it (starting in Boston) and added a colorful, nice story to help people take to the celebration.

So, this opinion of yours to boycott Thanksgiving only came into effect when you found out you were Indian. Very interesting. Honey, you should have done your research for this very American Holiday regardless of your heritage.

When my family has Thanksgiving dinner we give thanks for the things that we are thankful for. It is not meant inn any way to harm anyone else or to insult them. Please nderstand I am sorry if you are not happy with your heritage but GOd made you who you are and you should be thankful for the person you are and not condem what you found out.

I know how you feel, as a non-American I always thought this celebration a little weird. Also, half the American population don't even know what Thanks giving is all about!
Jenny, no land was ever sold, it was stolen. Please remember that everything that is taken by force is cursed. And when you are sober think about what you have written

I will continue to celebrate Thanksgiving. But I refuse to celebrate Columbus day......... Perhaps that's the holiday you should fight.
