I am covered in tattoos. Large pieces, too, not small 40 minute pieces. I have my entire rib cage, a sleeve, half my back, my neck, etc... and I didn't think any of the others really hurt. I have a really high pain tolerance. I thought the foot was an 11 on a scale of 1 - 10. I normally don't even flinch but I was grinding my teeth the whole time and couldn't even think about anything other than that it killed. That being said, I would do it over in a heartbeat. I love the tattoo. I can’t wait to do my other foot. I'm not one of these people who like pain or anything, but the pain is temporary and the tattoo is forever. It was really swollen for a good 4 days. I had it elevated with ice on it and took Advil (at my artists suggestion). I couldn’t wear shoes that covered it for about 2 weeks. Good luck!

Sounds like PLANTAR FASCIITIS to me. Does it give you hell when you get out of bed too?
Go to 'search for questions' above and put 'plantar fasciitis' in and see the answers to my question on the same subject.
Very painful. You have my sympathies, but it does get better eventually!
