U don't!, lol. IF his breath is bad after eating something strong like garlic, peppers, etc. then you can kind of play it off and offer soe gum or a mint. If this is not the case and you really like him and feel like he is mature enuff to accept this, I would ask his opinion as to how would he tell a friend that their breath is sometimes bad w/out hurting their feelings or attempting to embarass them. When he tells you, turn around and tell him what he just told you.(smile)!! And tell him how yu didn't want to hurt his feelsings and how you really like him , but you wanted him to know. B/c if he is bad w/ you when he oges out into the world, school, work, etc. he is bad there to. But those people dont care for him as you do, they'll just talk behind his back.

There is this theory floating around in my head that is unverified that desire for intimacy will mask the bad breath. Failing that, I'd use a two foot long stick.
