Of course there is global warming. Does no one not realize that we are still coming out of an ICE AGE..... It will continue warming up. Yeah we should be doing stuff to protect our environment, but you also have to consider we are still coming out of the last ice age.

I beg to differ views by IndieFilm above and the rest anti- warming who do not think we are been threatened!

While many people are raving about the negative consequences of the global warming and climate change, some people view their opinion based on political ideology rather than science as whole.

Studies have shown us NOT in 5 years time but scientists predict/give time frame 50-100 years for the 'real' climate change starts to show few dramatic sign from overheating. In addition, most experts agree that global warming is a reality and that it will bring further rises in sea levels.

In the last century the world heated up by 0.6C, according to the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Sea levels rose by between 9 and 20cm and scientists predict further increases of 9 to 88cm by the year 2100. The South Asian country of Bangladesh stands to be the worst affected. It is situated in the low-lying Ganges River delta and is also one of the most densely populated countries on earth.Char Bangla is one of thousands of islands in the mouths of the Ganges. The land comes and goes with the tides and seasons as the silt is washed away and deposited by the river and sea.

September is the month when the Arctic ice usually reaches a minimum. The new data shows that on 19 September, the area covered by ice fell to 5.35 million sq km (2.01 million sq miles), the lowest recorded since 1978, when satellite records became available; it is now 20% less than the 1978-2000 average. What happens in this remote barren land has the potential to affect us all. There is so much ice here that if it all melted, sea levels globally would rise hugely - perhaps as much as 80m. Say goodbye to London, New York, Sydney, Bangkok, Rio... in fact, the majority of the world's major cities.

A launcher fault destroyed the mission in October 2005
replaced by Cryosat to obtain virtual evidence for the scientists. I believe enough is being done in scientific research but because we humans have other problems to think about such as bills, loans and accounts many deny its importance to the young generations.

Public has the responsibility however if the President doesnt want to ractify the Kyoto protocol afraid that his cronies will not be protected in the automobile and fuel industries then....how? Thus, it is diffulcult for the scientists to educate mass media and society to warn or prove the case of climate change. Study will be just another study. Without all the supports and participations from the Government, educators, schools, NGOs, parents and the Ruling party, climate change will and still happening continuously.

Planet Earth's climate has been changing throughout the course of human history!

The climate is dynamic. It is always changing. The planet has gone through warming periods and cooling periods.

Between 1300 and as late as 1850s our planet has some of the coldest and wettest weather since the end of the last ice-age (ended about 10 - 12 thousand years ago). In fact that period was called The Little Ice Age. Glaciers advanced so much in the Alps, villages were crushed by the advancing ice!

Before the Little Ice Age, there was a WINE GRAPE growing industry in ENGLAND. The climate in the British Isles has never been that warm since. The climate is still warming. Maybe one of the results of global warming will be a resurgence of the English wine grape industry..

Oh, and during the Little Ice Age the European nations of Spain, England and Portugal set out on the explorations that founded the countries of the Western Hemisphere. The weather may have been cold and nasty, but it didn't stop the Age of Exploration and the colonization of the "New World".

So, in the face of The Little Ice Age, human civilization did not grind to a halt. Humanity did not die out.

My guess is that with this warming period we are now in, the human race and the rest of the planet will carry on just fine.

Some species will die out. But some will rise up in their place.

Our climate is indeed warming up. Is that bad? No, not really.

Radical political elements in our society would like to use climate change as a means to take total control of the planets economic systems and put unnecessary controls on our lives. These elements would really love to stick it to the West. There are also elements in the West that would love to stick it to the West as well. Do we really want those people in charge? They are called watermelons. Green on the outside and socialist red on the inside.

They small change is just natural. It is all part of a cycle that the earth goes through. Really there is nothing to be done. As for the outcome I think that the earth will do just fine. We may have to adapt though.
