You could try the steaming method, boil the kettle and get some red hot water and put it in a bowl, then lean over the bowl with a towel over your head breath it in. Make sure the towel is covering the bowel too so that the steam doesn't escape. You could add some Vicks or Olbas Oil to this.

I think fresh air helps most of the time though.

Go to drugstore and get saline spray from druggist (saltwater) it is called Ocean drops, or natural tears..just a little squeeze bottle..about a dollar or two. If this doesn't work try Sudafed tabs. Cheap and effective. Don't use anything like Vicks sinus spray they will only make it worse over time and then you will have a worse problem.

If you can handle it, you can pick up a natty pot at a health food store. It is a sinus cleansing system that works wonders! It's a little gross at first but worth the effort. Basically you flush your sinuses with water mixed with saline. You also might try some olive leaf extract in OJ.

The tissue lining your sinusses is swollen. I use an over the counter nasal spray containing 1 % xylometazoline hydrochloride. It works in seconds.

A Netti pot would work wonders. Best thing I've found that actually cures the problem instead of masking the symptoms.

vicks works the best for stuffy noses. I don't even put any on, I just sniff it out of the bottle. Plus, any hot liquids, and soup works well.
