I think we exist, because I can answer your question- I can see the sunrise and know I'll not have herring for breakfast,and soon I'll be off to work. Now that seems real especially after a hard day!
Actually, that's a good question and I can't think of any justification for saying I'm here-does my back ache justify me saying I'm here? Now that seems real!

The world, you know, is NOT a "red herring", because I can remember last week pretty clearly, and if the world were a red herring, it would be stinking pretty badly right now.
