if its coca cola it tends not to because the additives in it prevent it from loosing its fizz if its cold on the other hand if its kept in a warm place unopened it will lose its fizz faster i only say this because i get bored easily and this is just one of the things that i have tested

No, only if you don't keep the lid tightly on. Flat cola is fab, you can drink a whole glass without the 'fizz pain'.!!

i would imagine not. when kept at lower temperatures the enthalpy of reaction is reduced, and at the lower temperature the volume of the carbon dioxide will reduce as the pressure decreases. the best way to keep fiz in is to ot open the bottle. once the bottle is opened and drink removed, the carbon dioxide in the liwuid escapes and pressuises the remaining airspace of the bottle. this is lost the next time the bottle is opened. therefore the unfortunate truth is, to keep your pop fizzy, dont open it.

i wouldnt say so but ill tell you what will. if you take a drink of it and then lay the bottle flat. i think because there is more space for it to move about it tends to generate more gas so when you open it all that gas escapes causing it to go flat quicker. SO DONT DO IT IF YA LIKE FIZZY COLA!!!

Yes it does. The cold of your fridge deactivates the carbon dioxide. Try it with champagne or sparkling wine. Pop a warm bottle, and a cold bottle, and see which one splurges everywhere............

It should last longer in the fridge. Once you open the bottle it starts to lose carbonation.

fact: the lower the temperature of a carbonated beverage, the more carbonation it can hold.
