Gambling:y it's a bet nobody wins-compulsive gambling can and does destroy lives just like drug addiction and alcoholism.it is just one more sign of the moral decline currently gripping many nations..

this is not something new. Decline might be caused by something more dreadful, like a people who refuse to call their leaders to be accountable. Do you know what your elected officials vote for or against? do you know that your preacher is misleading you, have you read your Bible through even once.
Gambling is bad as are the rest but people who have never been rejected find it easy to see they are bad and know where to get help stopping and usually do not need help or get involved if properly educated.
people need acceptance appreciation and approval like they need oxygen, so have you been giving out the three AAAs

The thing with anything, wether it be sex, drugs, music, food, gambiling, drinking, smoking, shopping. If you do anything is excess it becomes a vice and a dangerous one. That does not make the thing bad. It is the lack of won't power by the geral popualce in many countries. People are all about what they will do but not about what they won't do. I have gone gambling, it was fun. But I only spent three hours at the Casino. I had the money to spend, and knew just like everyone else that I was most likely throwing that money at the Casino. People just need to stop blaming inanimate objects and take responsability for their own actions.

Compulsive gambling is bad, but an occasional try could be fun. I see no problem in participating occasionally in the national lotto, for instance. Or is that not regarded as gambling? It should be noted that gambling in any guise is forbidden in Islam, but thank God I'm a liberal practitioner.

Like most other things if it's done in moderation, for fun, and with spare cash not the weekly shopping budget, where's the harm?
