It's fine for men to cry. It shows a sensitive side. Now, I wouldn't cry over trivial things or small injuries. For example, your guy got voted off the island or you stubbed your toe. But other than those, it's fine.

oh my god, am I an expert on this. My ex husband would cry at the drop of a hat if you threatened to leave him for bashing you. My present partner of 10 years has cried twice over different things (no violence involved). I have come to the conclusion that Men can cry nearly as much as women. Men can cry when someone dies, they can cry if they are hurt, they can cry when a relationship breaks up, they can even cry when a movie is sad. The only time we don't accept men crying, is when it is to their own advantage, to try and save a relationship, to manipulate or to hurt a woman. If a man cries from genuine emotion, love and keep that man, cause he will love you for evermore.
I hope you have that type of man.;

I will say this I use to be a very angry person and never showed my emotions in the form of crying because I hate to cry.

Then one fateful day in September 5 years ago that all changed I cried and cried as the horrifying images poured across the TV screen. Now it doesn’t take much I get choked up every time I hear our national anthem along with every other little thing. I still am a strong person to hold my emotions in but to be honest here I feel healthier now that I am not as angry and that I allow my self to cry. it’s a cleansing for the heart and mind. … I feel there is nothing wrong with a man crying it shows he has a heart and is just as human as a women and a child.

Absolutely! I feel if any human is in pain, it is OK to cry. It is so sad that in our society men are taught to keep his feelings hidden and we women can cry all we want to. Whenever a person is in pain, the pain that is kept hidden do more damage to the body than the pain that is released. There is only one time it is unacceptable for a man or woman to cry is when he or she is using tears as a form of deceiving or manipulating someone.

Real men aren't afraid to show some emotion. My Dad was 6'4" and a Drill Seargent in the Army...a big strong man. I remember the first time I saw him cry...at his Mother's funeral. I was only about 6 yrs old at the time. That taught me that no matter how big, tough and strong you are, emotions sometimes take over and that's ok. If more men were'nt afraid to express their emotions alot more marriages would stay together.

it's ok for men to cry.
it wud be accepted if the man is hurt too much, so that he can cry when he's alone. or when the others are not as hurt as he is.

it wudn't be accepted when he needs to console others as a man, while others are crying, specially the ladies of his relation. if he starts crying too then who will comfort them?
