I am looking for things to do on weekends in the Northern VA, Maryland, DC area. I only have free time on Sundays, and have run out of things to do, HELP.

Go to one or many of the Smithsonian Museums, walk in the National Mall, go to the Zoo, go to Shenandoah, as soon as winter starts you can go ski at Liberty Mountain, go to Wolf Trap to see some concerts, visit Annapolis, Six Flags, Charlottesville.
Play some golf, ride your bike around DC (Georgetown), sail on the Potomac.

My brother gave me a book called Washington on Foot, which contains 23 walking tours of Washington, DC, Old Town Alexandria and Takoma Park.
I was thinking that this would give me something to do.
