I'm ill and I've been blowing my nose, but only blood comes out. I feel stuffed up , I sound nasal right now, and I feel the disease is spreading to my lungs. I'm worried. What does the blood mean?

It could be an irritated/dry nose and throat due to dry air causing the bleeding but with your lungs hurting though it is a good idea to see a physician to rule out bronchitis and pneumonia .He may also give you a nasal saline. Get it seen to and good luck.

If you have thin skin, constantly rubbing your nose (as when you use a Kleenex) can cause the capillaries (small veins) in your nose to burst open. You should use a softply tissue, and put cream on. If you can find it, I swear by Terramicine for this problem, it runs in my family too.

You've just really irritated the lining, but should see your doc. You're prone to infection and need to let him/her check it out.
