okay, a green been is a green bean Before you split it open, right ... you take the contents out and you have peas? so, what do you call the "green bean" after the peas have been removed?

OK first Peas come from pods not green beans and if you split green beans open you have whats called Shelly beans ..now if you save the outside of the green beans and slice them you have french cut beans.. hope this help's....ps my grandma used to make real stringed beans MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

No, a green bean is a green bean and a pea is a pea. They look alot alike and both have pods. But they are different. The bean in the green bean is its seed just like the pea. The bean is more oblong where as the pea is round.

It's still a green bean just an Italian aka French cut version. Also, that wouldn't be peas it's more in the lima bean family after you remove the beans. But, not peas.

Peas reside inside pea pods, not green beans.

So if you split a green bean open you have....french cut green beans.

when you open a green bean you get beans they could be navy or pinto,blackeyed peas(its a bean)...or kidney..before they are taken out they all are green beans.....after the bean is removed it is called the hulls
