You say I am stupid, and do not know what I am talking about, and bla bla bla bla, well look at what you believe. OK, billions of billions of years ago, nothing came together and made something that exploded, because of nothing, and slowely the earth was formed. Then the earth was a big mould of burning lava, that was long long ago. Then it started raining, and soon the lava became hard rocks, and one day, 3 molucles came together in a rock, accidently, and form live, yip thats right. So after billions of years it evolved into bigger live forms and yes, here we are. Just brilliant!!! You people are very special. And you say I am stupid. Why dont you get another theory, and place it here, see if you can come up with something better

I don't say you're stupid. Just brainwashed and completely ignorant of real science.

"You believe in a book that has talking animals, wizards, witches, demons, sticks turning into snakes, food falling from the sky, people walking on water, and all sorts of magical, absurd and primitive stories, and you say that _we_ are the ones that need help?" - Dan Barker (former preacher)

Even if evolution isn't how life has come to be the way it is you are still stupid. The idea behind the creation of the universe is a THEORY, just like you said, that means that it is not taken as FACT, like the bible(taken as fact by some). Also, the idea of some supernatural force (god) creating the universe and life has even less backing than the big bang theory. Scientists dont posit these ideas for shits and giggles, they do it because observations they have recorded point to that answer. Science says that life is probably a random fluke of chemistry, religion says it was magic. The main idea behind evolution is that species changed slowly over time to become what they are today. The creationist theory is that they were placed here "as is" and have not changed since then. Study after study shows however that evolution makes sense and is likely to be a fact of life. The fact that we(the scientific comunity) do not know exactly how life started does not change the validity or importance of evolution.

Whoa! You are definately not stupid! That is one of the best summaries of our existence that I have ever read! And yes, i do believe it more than i will ever believe that some big buy did it all in 7 days! And nothing in the bible ever metioned how long it took him to make the rest of the universe...oh, i forgot the people that wrote the old testament didnt know anything other than thier own backyard, they couldn't possibly think of what stories to make up at the fireplace about how God created Mars.

Where did God come from then? How can he be something from nothing? and if he really is real, and timeless, everywhere in space and time at the same time without actually taking any shape in our universe...why did he not create the universe and Adam and Eve earlier then, i mean if it really took him an eternity in blackness to figure out he wanted a friend, then is he worth it? Sounds like a bit of an idiot to me! How come he decided to create them one day and not the day before? This is unbelievable!

Slowly, over time, more and more things are being prooven wrong about the bible and then they just say "its a metaphor".

You have your faith in God, but what will you say when we do figure out how life was formed?

the‧o‧ry  /ˈθiəri, ˈθɪəri/ [thee-uh-ree, theer-ee]
–noun, plural -ries.
1. a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena: Einstein's theory of relativity.
2. a proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural, in contrast to well-established propositions that are regarded as reporting matters of actual fact.

Your beliefs do not constitute a theory, they lack the coherency required because of conflicting statements that riddle the only evidence you posess. Even if it did your evidence is suspect after a thousand years of revision that has been proven to favor political opinions of the time the Bible was written.
Interrestingly the origen of man on this planet is not a Theory as it an established unchallenged concept supported by imperical evidence.
Why don't you get a theory before you criticize a fact.

And your belief is more plausible because? Stop me if I go wrong here, but your religion tried to lead us to belive that man was created from the earth and that woman was created from a rib. Sorry, but I'm not seeing it. I don't think you're stupid, I think you are right to feel passionately about what you see is right. But as I have said before, that doesn't necessarily mean you have the right to think that you are a better person than I purely because you read a book and belived it to be true.

IF YOU WERE TRULY SO CONVINCED OF YOUR OWN BELIEFS BEING RIGHT I DON'T THINK YOU WOULD BE SO FAR UP THE A SS OF ALL THE EVOLUTIONISTS. Why do you care so much what we believe if you think we are just going to burn in hell? You keep demanding proof that evolution exists and ask so many questions but refuse to accept the answers or research anything. You are obsessed because you have doubts. Not about evolution, about God.

By hinding behind a god theory we will never find the truth, religon has always suppressed science, how come none of the so called books which are the words of god never mentioned dinosaurs. Only through science and not through religion will we find answers. Religion is an oppression of the mind.

now let me see, on the one hand i could believe these consistent and testable theories, (that's the scientific use of the word theory, not the colloquial one), continuously proved by observation and experiment performed by well educated and intelligent physicists, cosmologists, astronomers, chemists, geneticists, micro biologists, zoologists, botanists and geologists. or i could believe someone will a mail order PhD from boondock bible college who tells me that we were created by a deity who had always existed, who we are an exact image of, he's got lungs to breath oxygen, even though he didn't need them because he hadn't created it, nose hair, and genitals, mmmmm. oh yes and this beneficent all loving god who loves you sooooo much is coming back one day to raise all of the people he ever created from the dead and the ones who actually used the facilities of intelligence he had given them, to investigate, and explore the universe with the physical laws he endowed on it, and draw some natural conclusions, he will boil their eyes out and consign them to an eternity of torture in the boiling pits of hell. difficult one, but i prefer to stick with the people who can write English and tie their own shoe laces.

Jeanne. Listen. I agree with what you believe, but you're not doing a very good job at articulating yourself.
You are just quoting Hovind. I understand what you're saying because I've watched all his material, but someone who hasn't seen it can't relate to what you're saying.
Your writing is very difficult to follow and you sound foolish. Try proofreading your statements before you post them.

God bless.

I like your belief better: "Someone did it." Genius. And on that there is no explanation how that "someone" was done aside from "our brain is too small to know." Just spectacularly brilliant.

The origins of life, big bang, has nothing to do with evolution. They compliment eachother which is different.
