Daniel did not follow the royal decree to not pray to anyone for thirty days.He prayed to God 3 times a day as was his custom,and was caught praying & thrown into the lion's den. Daniel was found innocent before the living God,because he believed and served God. Daniel was a witness to the King Darius who decreed that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel

Because Daniel was His prophet, and was faithful to YHWH. He obeyed the Law, and did not pray to false gods
