It's personal preference. But if you don't, you feel minging and dirty. When you sweat it's on your skin and it's minging.

Because our human being have over billion of pores on the skin, they have only venting way to let you sweat and detoxing from inside part of the toxic, if not showering or cleaning, over layer and layer of the dirts and bacterias will be cover and spread out all over the body, smell bad and got the skin problems and other syndromes or even have some ulcer or the eczema something like that! Even mammals and birds take baths to reduce body odor but living as a hermit such as you, I guess it's not important. I guess you could try clean dirt or alternatively dry cleaning and who knows, that fungus growing over your face might have medicinal properties? Sloths in South America have symbiotic algae, so could you.

because this keeps us from being germ ridden. The morey dirty you are the more likely you are to get sick. some things are due to society like deoderant but showering is hygenic it's like brushing teeth
