Also, how wud a Jewish or Hebrew person regard someone who is agnostic or even worse an atheist. Just interested...not meaning to cause offence or anything.

jews don't believe in jesus, original sin, hell, proseltyzing, etc. we regard atheists as being wrong but we don't harass them about it since we don't believe in preaching and we generally just keep our religion to ourselves and let everybody else believe whatever religion they want.

Here's is the most elegant answer I have heard to that question:

A Christian and a Jew were arguing. The Christian claimed that the Messiah had come and gone and would come again. The Jew insisted that He had not yet come.

A wise man heard them arguing, and suggested: "Why don't you wait, then, until the Messiah comes, and when He does, ask Him whether He has been here before!"

Basic difference is Judaism doesn't believe Christ was God, Judaism believes the "Messiah" is still coming.
