there are so many misconceptions that people have about Islam...When i began to learn about Islam, to my suprise, it wasn't this bad religion that people think it is. I was surprised to see that many people from all walks of life, men and women became Muslims. Even former priests and celebristies. How could these people become Muslims if Islam is bad?

One thing i want to add is that if people want to learn about Islam don't go to certain websites as they just want to make Islam look bad. Learn the facts from a Muslim siite then you can see who is telling the truth.

i am learning more and more everyday. THANKS TO ALL PEOPLE WHO POST HONEST QUESTIONS HERE ABOUT ISLAM ON YA! with an intention of gaining knowledge. if it wouldnt be for people then i wouldnt question and reason. thanks to these people that i question and the more i question, i know that Islam is for me. Islam made me think and become rational. peace and blessings of Allah to all.

Yes Islam is being down graded by the media,
So why cant we read the Quran or Hadith before listening to the media? We cant judge another religion without reading their Holy text and only then can we decide what to do however we should also ask some quetion from a person of that religion if not sure about something.
Islam doesnt teach violance if it did then why is it that approx 1.6 billion Muslims in the world today are not being violant?

its really great to see that u got to research urself abt Islam, and found its True Teachings, May ALLAH (GOD) Bless u for it and on recommending others as well. u were right that ppl often get misled by some sites, 'coz they only spread misconception and misinformation abt Islam, and also promote a False idea abt Islam. if ppl want to learn abt Islam, ppl should go to Islamic websites, just like if anyone wants to learn abt Christianity, one would not go to a rabbi, but a priest.
i want to invite everyone to Islam. Research on ur own abt Islam. Read The Holy Quran, Read Books of Hadiths (Prophet's Sayings), Research by Authentic Reliable Books & Sites (Don't count on sites that defame Islam, 'coz they spread mis-information and misconceptions abt Islam, and they cant even back up there claims with sufficient proofs, thus they are basically rambling Falsehood abt Islam). Do all this research on ur own and dont believe in anyone's hearsay (Not even mine). May GOD (ALLAH) guide u on The Path of Seeking The Truth. Peace to All.

The guy "Ever Learn" above said a very important point. There are some people who revel in hating, blaming and insulting. This sort of people do not care about facts. Because their intention is to spread hatred among people. If they regard facts then they would know the truth which would stop them. They prefer staying ignorant.

But Islam as a religion, has great political ambition in this day.
