Some examples: no slavery, treat women as equals, don't flood the world. Don't give Moses the ten commandments with one saying thou shall not kill. Then order him to kill with swords people worshipping a golden calf.

First off, I would have made a book with all truth.

Second, I would have not killed so much and not let people suffer so much. (Adam and Eve, Job, the killing of Pharoah's son and all the others firstborns--then letting Cain, and way worse leaders live on and do wrong with their power)

Third, I would have been more understanding of people and what they do.

Fourth, I would have made women equal to men.

Fifth, would not have put so much lineage within. That could have been separated and the bible would only be half as long.

Six, would have allowed room for improvement instead of counting only on men from thousands of years ago. What, people after that are not worthy of visions or speaking to God?

Seven, rule out superstitions

It's true that there really is God but the way things are going on around us - i.e., the killings in the name of Allah, the massacres by ethnic cleansing, the extinctions of species cause by men, the hunger, slavery, exploitation and inequality due to man's greed and calouseness, the flood, earthquake and natural disasters, etc.- it looks like when God took a rest on the seventh day, he stayed rested and just let nature takes its course. So how would I handle things differently? Well, first I have to wake up and do what is right.

To "handle situations" one must function by the process of reasoning and logic which certainly requires a brain. The human brain, based on past scientific research uses less than 10% of its capabilities and this percentage has been challenged by some who say humans use even less. Even the number of human brain cells are limited. If I were God, which I am not, I would have infinite reasoning and infinite logic and I would not have a physical brain limited to only a few billion brain cells. My reasoning and logic would also be perfect and pure as God is pure and perfect in Spirit and all things. Humans reason on imperfect and impure logic and are limited in their understanding and humans have no pure and perfect future " vision" or knowledge of the future thoughts, words and actions of themselves or others, where as God knows all the future of each person and how each person will choose freely in their actions, thoughts, and words. SO if I were God, knowing what I knew, know, and will know, I would have done nothing differently because what I did was perfect in its reasoning and logic for the time past, present and future of all creation. To think anything positive of God requires Faith since it can not be proved by human earthly standards. So for you to ask random questions of others about God has no purpose because only those answering aginst you have enough knowledge of the topic and thus the ability answer with reason.

If I were God, I would show Paul for the chauvinist homophobe he was. I would take out anything referring to sin, hell, or Satan. I would make it very clear that I am the same God , no matter how you choose to worship me. I would encourage all of the people to think for themselves and make their own decisions based on what they feel is correct. I would not demand worship, love, or belief in me. I would say, here it is, take it or leave it. Either way, I will see you when this life is over.

The "history" of God is not to be found in the bible. I think God probably did all those things you listed. But the real story of God did not fit someone's political agenda, so the media had to change the story a bit. ;-)

If I were God I would have written my own "holy book" instead of leaving it in the hands of men, knowing that I had created imperfect men to begin with.
