Dumb question, Bet if it's france or england

no its not...but pickles dont grow it is cucumbers that do the growing and the are made into pickles by a process called pickling with vinegar ...and different spices to get the different pickles.....as to where cucumbers come from but i will take a wild guess and say England as their are a lot of things British that use them. hope this helped a little....

First remember that "pickles" are not grown at all - cucumbers are. Just about any fruit or vegetable can be pickled for puposes of preservation. That being said - pickled cucumbers were probably originally made about 4500 years ago in Mesopotamia.

Neither, pickles were made in Mesopotamia 4,500 years ago. PS That commercial where that kid says "It's a Va-las-ic pickle" really bugs me.
