No, atleast not in the Marines. And, I assume as much is true in every bootcamp seeing the shower situation and all.

LOL. Yeah, there are some basic training units that are co-ed. It depends on the enlistee's specialty. Combat specialties are'nt open to women, so units of inductees for those jobs don't have women. I would'nt worry too much about being yelled at in front of guys. You'll quickly see that it's usually GROUPS that are berated, not individuals. Sole people ARE shouted at, but you'll see others enduring it enough to realize that it don't raise many eyebrows. Shouting seems to be the primary form of address, so ceases to be a big deal. Plus, and this may simply be bias from a former soldier; Air Force basic is reputed to be the most "relaxed" of all the service branches. If what I hear is correct, it'll not be terribly stressful.

Marines separate males and females in basic...in all other branches they train together. Of course there are separate barracks, but otherwise you do all your training together. Everyone there is going through the same thing, so don't worry about something like that. After a short period of time you will begin to help each other get through the course. After it's over you'll remember that time as one of the better ones in your life. Good luck.

In the Air Force men and women sleep and room in separate dorms but train together in physical fitness. drills, classroom and other aspects of training. As far as getting screamed at; do what you're told and keep your nose clean and you'll be fine. I made it through and the TI never got in my face, though she did get n the faces of quite a few others.

if that is your major concern, then you are really going to hate it there! but believe me the men ther wont care about you , and you really wont care about them, especially if you are down wind. You are all nasty, you are all scum on the bottom of your MTI's boot. I remember my female platoon, had PT with 3 other Male Platoons, and We didn't get raisers for 3 months, we were fury, and My concern wasn't "OMG" I look like Ape woman, and there are boys everywhere, I was concerned only about my training, not the stinky boy next to me.

When I was in basic training, we men were only allowed to sleep with each other.
Hmmm, that didn't really come out right...

I also went by ft. McClellan, yet in ninety 8, between the most suitable company's to move by. It changed into coed, and that i have mixed thoughts about it. lots of the benefits were outweighed by making use of the undesirable. women merely don't have the ability of adult males, and too in many circumstances the adult males ought to step in to assist the position it wasn't necessary. they did not opt to work out us warfare, even with the indisputable fact that it truly is the completed aspect of fundamentals, push your self. also, lots of the females took great aspect with reference to the issue, and ought to enable the adult males do each little thing. That brought about distinct confusing thoughts. Now the lady who were given despatched domicile pregnant is yet another tale.......
