I have a huge attraction towards a younger man ( probably in his late 20's), , I do not know him too well, but I am torn beetween the fact that he is too young for a long term relationship, yet perfect for a hot fling. We both attend 12 step groups. Should I make a move?or leave him alone?

You need to concentrate on completing your steps and beating your addiction(s)...He should be doing that as well.. People in recovery need to focus their efforts and attention to getting better..dating someone from group is always dicey and never ends good..then you have to join a different group etc etc...

You are both well into adulthood now. Age is less of an obstacle than it is when you are teens. Relationships should be based upon other things such as compatibility, attraction, maturity levels, things in common, etc.

If you think there is potential there, I vote for letting him know you are interested in getting to know him a little better. You never know unless you try. Perhaps you could get together for coffee or a soda away from the group setting sometime. You will be able to tell from his reaction whether he is interested in pursuing anything further.

Plenty of relationships with different ages have been successful. I hope you find happiness in your life, whether it is with him or with somebody else. Good luck. :)

p.s. (there's something to be said for the older woman/younger man combination as far as being sexually compatible too. *wink*)

You've got nothing to lose, except if the 12 step group suggests you don't get involved with someone else in the group. The rules are there for a reason.

Well, it depends on what YOU are wanting. Do you want a longterm realtionship, or just a hot fling? And, most importantly, what is going to make you feel good about yourself when you look at yourself in the mirror?

What have you got to lose? Go for it. If there is no strings attatched, a fling can be alot of fun.

both my hubbys were younger than me. My first hubby was a year yonger than me.

My current hubby is jail bait. I am closer to my mother-in-laws age than his. People think we are the same age. (we look it )
My brother-in law-tried the same route but his girl friend looked like his mom He was very young looking and his girlfriend was very old looking)

I say go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
